One job pays for years of letters

    A typical loft or extension

    Your profit at 10%
£2,500From a single job your letters win.
    That pays for
over 10 yearsof Starter at £19 a month.

Checkatrade puts a basic Velux loft conversion at about £27,500 and a dormer at about £50,000. The HomeOwners Alliance puts a standard 20m² single-storey extension at about £48,000. UK builders typically make 10–20% net profit. We've used the low end of both. These are typical figures, not a promise of work: your prices and margins are your own. The same job would pay for over 5 years of Standard (£39 a month). The same job would pay for over 2 years of Pro (£99 a month).

    How it works

Basements start with a planning application or a lawful development certificate. Councils publish them. We turn each one near you into a letter from you, and post it.

    1. Tell us where you work

Your postcode, how far you travel and the work you do. About 30 seconds.
    2. Check your letter

We write it for you from your business name and number. Change anything you like. About a minute.
    3. We post it, every working day

Each new planning application near you gets your letter, printed and posted by us. Automatically.
    4. Replies come to you

The homeowner scans the code on your letter or rings you. Their details land in your inbox straight away.

    Questions

Is it legal to write to people who've applied for planning?

Yes. Planning applications are on a public register, and UK data protection law allows postal marketing on the basis of legitimate interests. Every letter goes to "The Owner/Occupier" (we never use the applicant's name), says where the address came from, and explains how to stop all letters like it.

    Which applications get a letter?

New homeowner applications for basement and cellar conversions within the distance you travel. We skip developers and companies, applications that were refused or withdrawn, work already built, and paperwork on old permissions.

Will other builders write to the same homeowners?

Not through us. Each application goes to one builder. If other firms cover the same streets, new jobs are shared out between you in turn, so everyone gets a fair share. The check above already allows for that.

What if my area is quiet?

The check above shows how many jobs your area had in the last 30 days. Unused letters roll over for a month, so a quiet month isn't wasted, and you can travel further or add more types of work from your account at any time. Your plan price never goes up because you're busy: extra jobs simply wait for next month's letters, or you can move to a bigger plan.

What if more jobs come in than my letters?

Your letters go to the newest applications first. If your area is busy enough to fill a bigger plan, we'll suggest it. Nothing extra is ever charged without you choosing it.

What if I'm too busy for new work?

Pause your letters from your account whenever you like and switch them back on when you're ready.

    How do I cancel?

From your account, any time. Your plan runs to the end of the month you've paid for.
